MKSAP®

Physicians who certified in internal medicine in 1990 or later need to renew their certificates every ten years through the ABIM's Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.

ACP

The steps for recertifying every ten years are as follows:

  1. Register with the ABIM
  2. Earn 100 points in Self-Evaluation of Medical Knowledge and Practice Performance at any time during the ten year period
  3. Pass the secure ABIM exam
ACP helps members to prepare for recertification with less time and worry. We offer a variety of opportunities for you to earn self-evaluation points and prepare for the exam with confidence.

If you choose to earn self-evaluation points through the ABIM modules, ACP makes it easy to find the answers. We offer links to knowledge resources relating to each question for most modules.

This free benefit is only available to ACP members. The links are embedded within the ABIM online modules, and also available on ACP Online, indexed by module and question. These resources can save you a lot of time researching answers.
